The news was revealed on 25 September by Rated on social media, confirming Gen.G as one of 15 organisations fielding a roster at the season-ending event on 1 October.

A Star-Studded Line-Up

Each member of the new squad brings serious credentials. Rated is a veteran of the Call of Duty scene, having played for the likes of Red Reserve, Denial Esports, and Splyce before competing in the CDL with the London Royal Ravens in 2020. Known for his leadership and tournament experience, he’s long been a staple name in Warzone esports.

Natedogg, born in the United States in 2002, has built a reputation as one of Warzone’s most consistent competitors, regularly finishing strong at top-tier tournaments, including World Series of Warzone events.

Meanwhile, ScummN, born in 1995, is considered one of the most mechanically skilled players in the Warzone community. His sharp aim and in-depth knowledge of the game have earned him consistent high finishes in major competitions.

Together, the trio have shown strong chemistry since teaming up earlier this year. Their recent results include a seventh-place finish at the 2025 Esports World Cup, where they secured $43,000 in prize money, as well as multiple top-tier performances across qualifiers and regional finals.

Gen.G’s Wider Growth

This marks a return to Call of Duty for Gen.G, who last fielded a roster back in 2019 during the Call of Duty World League Pro League. That squad earned a top-four finish before the organisation shifted its focus to other titles.

Now, with Warzone booming as a competitive title, Gen.G’s move looks like a strategic step in expanding its already impressive esports portfolio. Alongside its new Warzone roster, Gen.G also competes in League of Legends, Valorant, and most recently Marvel Rivals.

Beyond competitive rosters, the organisation has been busy growing its brand through partnerships. September saw Gen.G unveil its Marvel Rivals line-up, while earlier in the year it teamed up with McDonald’s for a US Campus Takeover initiative and collaborated with Theta Labs to bring its mascot to life as an AI chatbot.

Eyes on Las Vegas

For Rated, Natedogg, and ScummN, the World Series of Warzone 2025 will be their biggest stage yet under the Gen.G banner. With the event taking place in Las Vegas, all eyes will be on whether the trio can deliver a breakout performance and establish Gen.G as a new powerhouse in Warzone esports.
