Nacelle, the studio behind Netflix’s The Toys That Made Us, The Movies That Made Us, Kevin Hart’s Guide to Black History, Mad About You (2019), and Behind The Attraction on Disney+, has struck a deal with Brentwood Television Funnies, to acquire Biker Mice from Mars, with plans to re-introduce the toy line in 2023.

In 2022, Nacelle began reviving many beloved vintage toy lines such as Robo Force, Sectaurs, The Great Garloo, and Power Lords, with new action figures that honor the rich history of their predecessors.

On the planet Mars, there existed a race of anthropomorphic mice who enjoyed motorsports and had a very similar culture and society to that of human beings.

Eventually, they were all but wiped out by the Plutarkians, an alien race of obese, foul-smelling, worm eating, fish-like humanoids who plunder other planets for their natural resources. Three survivors: Throttle, Modo and Vinnie, manage to find a spaceship and escape the Plutarkian takeover, but instead, they soon find themselves crash-landing on Earth in the city of Chicago.

Along with a charming female mechanic named Charlene “Charley” Davidson, the Biker Mice must defend Earth and defeat the villainous Plutarkians, in an attempt to finally return to their homeland of Mars.

On Christmas Day, 2021, The Nacelle Co., the studio behind The Toys That Made Us (Netflix), Behind The Attraction (Disney+), and Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek (History) will unwrap the fourth season of its acclaimed series, A Toy Store Near You on Amazon Prime Video.

During the first three seasons,  A Toy Store Near You put the spotlight on a variety of new and vintage toy stores from around the world. What started as a reaction to how businesses were pivoting in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic has since become a celebration of small businesses and the passion of the toy community as a whole.

The five new episodes of the series directed by Nacelle Co. CEO Brian Volk-Weiss for season four lean heavily into the world of vintage and the stories of the people behind the stores.

“People are writing to us daily, some even telling us how they’ve quit their jobs and opened their own vintage toy stores inspired by our series, so it seemed almost criminal to not make more, and I don’t want to go to jail,” Volk-Weiss says.

Since last year, The Nacelle Co. has accumulated more than 20,000 hours of footage that was shot in more than 50 toy stores across seven countries.

The HISTORY Channel is celebrating the 55th anniversary of the iconic and popular “Star Trek” franchise with the Brian Volk-Weiss directed ten-part docuseries from The Nacelle Company “The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek.

” Narrated and executive produced by Gates McFadden (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”, “InvestiGates: Who Do You Think You Are?”), the docuseries shares rare, fascinating details of how “Star Trek” began, where it’s been, and how it’s boldly going where no television series has gone before.

The first four episodes will premiere on the HISTORY Channel each week beginning on Friday, November 5th, 2021 with six additional episodes also available on “HISTORY Vault,” the network’s subscription video service.

Each episode focuses on a different chapter in the sci-fi drama’s groundbreaking history chronicling its inception at Lucille Ball’s legendary production company Desilu to more recent film, television adaptations and projects like The Animated Series and Phase II.

The definitive in-depth journey honors the creative pioneers in sci-fi excellency and shares the impactful, sometimes risky, decisions behind pivotal moments in television history and how they ultimately made it to the small screen.

In the Fall of 1964, the pilot for what would become “Star Trek” was commissioned.

From the start, “The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek” unveils lesser-known stories about the franchise from the importance of addressing timely topics, the creation of the character Spock, the unrelenting fans that kept the show on air and the reruns that gave it new life.

These behind-the scenes stories among thousands of hours of show footage will be coupled with interviews from the cast, crew and experts who worked on set.

The show includes candid interviews with Star Trek legends such as Nichelle Nichols, Brent Spiner, Kirstie Alley, Walter Koenig, Kate Mulgrew, Denise Crosby, Wil Wheaton, John De Lancie, Nicholas Meyer, Ronald D. The Nacelle Company, the people behind Disney+’s Behind The Attraction, Netflix’s The Movies That Made Us, The Toys That Made Us and Down To Earth with Zac Efron have announced that they’ve partnered with Silverhawks LLC to resurrect the iconic animated television show, SilverHawks.

SilverHawks is an animated television show developed by Rankin / Bass Productions and released in 1986.

The show consisted of 65 episodes, with a concept revolved around a team of 29th century heroes with metal bodies and wings who were tasked to stop an organized crime ring and protect the citizens of the Galaxy of Limbo, which has been overrun by the show’s antagonist, Mon*Star, who runs a mob with some interesting characters, including a shapeshifter, a robotic card shark and a man with blades for arms.

The team at Rankin / Bass surely intended to turn this high concept idea into a space themed extension of their already successful line, ThunderCats, but unfortunately the show did not enjoy the same success as its predecessor.

Nacelle’s announcement comes on the heels of Super7, a pop-culture design house and toymaker famous for their ReAction figures, announcing the release of their SilverHawks ULTIMATES line of action figures earlier this year.

In January of 2021, the San Francisco based toy maker announced they’ve acquired the SilverHawks IP and will begin production on some of the figures that SilverHawks fans and collectors have always dreamt of.

The Nacelle Company will debut A Toy Store Near You, a docuseries filmed and released during the COVID 19 Pandemic that takes viewers inside independent toy stores across the country and the world, starting on May 29th, 2020 via Amazon Prime, YouTube and many other content destinations.

New episodes will be released as they are ready in a release pattern designed to prioritize speed over designated seasons.

A deep dive into one of the quirkiest and tightest-knit parts of the pop culture community, its 50 episodes are as much a snapshot of small businesses in America during one of the hardest times in the history of the country as it is a look at the wonder and joy of the toy stores and people behind them.

Created with self-filmed footage from toy store owners and employees from across the globe (US, The Netherlands, Canada, Taiwan, Japan, and The UK), the show is a compelling look at the nostalgia-and-plastic world of each individual shop, the stores’ histories, the unique personalities that run them, the resurgence in the indie toy community, and how these stores are trying to survive while closed due to the pandemic.

A Toy Store Near You will feature stores that are still operating under legal guidelines during the health crisis- some running under an online storefront and others that have opted to provide curbside delivery only. The first episode will feature Billy Galaxy Toys in Portland, Oregon, one of the premiere toy stores in the country. The majority of the proceeds from the show will go back to each store that is featured. Nacelle conceived of and began production on the series early in the crisis to provide vital relief for this hard-hit segment of America’s small business community.

Loesch is the former President and CEO of Fox Kids, Marvel Productions, Discovery Communications and Hasbro Inc’s joint television network, Hub Network. Her resume also includes launching some of the most iconic shows and films that shaped many-a-childhood including the original Transformers cartoon, Transformers: The Movie, My Little Pony: The Movie and G.I. Joe: The Movie.

While serving as President and CEO of The Hub, Loesch helped reboot G.I. Joe, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the live-action series The Haunting Hour.

The Nacelle Company, the people behind The Toys That Made Us and The Movies That Made Us, have partnered with Cavegirl Productions and X-Ray Films to announce they are producing a documentary about the iconic collectible card game Magic: The Gathering. The movie, Igniting the Spark, The Story of Magic: The Gathering, will explore the game’s history, explosive growth, and enduring popularity.

Magic: The Gathering, the world’s most popular strategy card game, was created by mathematician Richard Garfield in 1993 and is published by Wizards of the Coast (Dungeons & Dragons), a subsidiary of Hasbro.

The Magic: The Gathering franchise has more than 38 million fans in over 70 countries. Over the years, Magic has evolved from a niche card game into a world-wide phenomenon boasting international tournaments, ever-expanding sets, and enthusiastic collectors.

In 2019, Netflix announced that the Russo Brothers (Avengers: Endgame, Captain America: Winter Soldier) are producing an animated Magic: The Gathering series for the platform.

Igniting The Spark will be co-directed by Brian Stillman (Plastic Galaxy: The Story of The Star Wars Toys, Eye Of The Beholder: The Art Of Dungeons and Dragons, The Toys That Made Us) and Kelley Slagle (Of Dice and Men, Eye Of The Beholder: The Art Of Dungeons and Dragons).
