Playground Games has pulled back the curtain on the full Forza Horizon 6 map, and it’s a sprawling slice of Japan that stretches from the neon-lit streets of Tokyo City all the way up to the snowy peaks of the Japanese Alps.

The map was shared on the official Forza Horizon X (formerly Twitter) account, giving players their first proper look at the terrain they’ll be tearing through when the game launches on 19 May 2026.

What The Full Map Looks Like

The revealed image shows the map in its Summer Season variant, covering a massive spread of environments. Tokyo City dominates the eastern portion as the largest urban area ever featured in a Forza Horizon game, reportedly five times bigger than Forza Horizon 5’s Guanajuato. Beyond the city, the map fans out into coastal roads, rural countryside, and mountainous terrain capped with snow in the Alps region.

Playground Games described it as their “most dense and vertical map yet,” which lines up with what we can see. The verticality is a big deal here, as Japan’s geography naturally lends itself to elevation changes, tight mountain passes, and layered city streets that previous Horizon maps haven’t really explored to this degree.

Seasonal Changes Will Reshape The Map

One detail worth paying attention to is that the map is specifically labelled “Summer Season.” This strongly suggests that the terrain, road conditions, and points of interest will shift as the seasons rotate, much like the system in Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5. Playground Games has confirmed that seasonal changes will “truly inform the world,” affecting how spring, summer, autumn, and winter alter the tone, activity, and sound of the environment.

In practical terms, that means the Alpine roads blanketed in snow during summer could look and drive very differently come winter, and areas like Tokyo’s cherry blossom-lined streets will likely transform during the Sakura season. How exactly points of interest and available routes change with each rotation is something players will have to discover at launch.

Mount Fuji Is Visible But Not Driveable

For anyone hoping to send a Nissan Skyline up the slopes of Mount Fuji, you’re out of luck. While the iconic volcano has appeared prominently in promotional material and trailers, it has been confirmed that Mount Fuji will not be an explorable part of the map. It’ll serve as a backdrop rather than a destination, which may disappoint some fans but isn’t entirely surprising given the scale challenges involved.

Tokyo City As The Centrepiece

Tokyo City is clearly the flagship area of the map. The urban zone includes multiple distinct districts, each with their own identity, from the neon-lit downtown core featuring landmarks like Shibuya Crossing and Tokyo Tower, through to the suburbs, docklands, and industrial zones. Art director Don Arceta has described the city as “one of our most detailed and layered environments to date,” and it’s designed to reward exploration with shortcuts, hidden routes, and varied driving experiences across different density levels.

Outside the city, the map transitions into coastal stretches, lowland countryside, and the Alpine region. The contrast between tight urban drifting and open mountain touge runs is exactly the kind of variety that Japan’s geography makes possible, and it looks like Playground Games has leaned into that hard.

Launch Details And Early Access

Forza Horizon 6 launches on 19 May 2026 for Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam. Premium Edition owners get four days of early access starting 15 May. Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers can play the Standard Edition from day one at no extra cost, with the option to purchase the Premium Upgrade for early access. A PlayStation 5 version is confirmed for later in 2026, though no specific date has been announced.

The game ships with over 550 cars, a heavy emphasis on JDM classics, and new features like Touge Battles and cooperative building through the upgraded CoLab toolset. With the map now out in the open, expect Playground Games to ramp up the reveals as we get closer to launch.

I love some of the true weirdness that comes out of Anime.

From action that would cost millions to make in any other format, to weird stories you wouldn’t expect to be funded, Anime can truly cover the spectrum.  Restaurant to Another World is one of the weirdest things I have seen and boy is it a hilarious ride.

Restaurant to Another World is set in the restaurant Western Restaurant Nekoya which is a western influenced restaurant in Japan.  Once a week doors open in a lot of different worlds. From these worlds people come in and have their minds blown by the food created and served in this restaurant.

The story follows the restaurant after a young demon named Aletta finds herself in the restaurant.  After being entranced by the food she is hired by the chef to wait tables when the restaurant is open and she jumps at the opportunity.  Each episode has two stories where someone comes across a door to the restaurant that magically appears in their world and they enter to discover this mysterious place for the first time.

The show is as silly as it is funny.  Usually a character is apprehensive about the strange restaurant they have walked into and they then try to analyse the menu based on their own experiences they have seen.  For instance one man is shocked to see shrimp as an option as you could only eat fresh shrimp in his lands when close to the beach, unaware of human refrigeration technology.

After their food arrives they then go into the most graphic description of joy they feel as they taste the food.  Some will try bits on their own with absolute bliss, and then be overcome with joy as they mix them together.  The descriptions are by far the best part and I laughed a lot as they described the joy of the food in ways you would expect a cheesy play to describe love.

As the series progresses the restaurant has characters who start to interact with each other. In the later episodes the restaurant becomes more chaotic. For the most part they are all these individual little stories with the through line being Aletta as she develops an understanding of these worlds, and enjoys the food herself.

The real sell for the show will be if you want short stories where the premise is watching creatures from other worlds, like elves, go crazy trying out human food during their short time in this earth restaurant.  I found myself entertained more than I expected and the series ends as it starts to get a little stale.  It’s strange in all the right ways.

The Wonder Festival is the world’s biggest figure festival which takes place twice a year – once in Winter and once in Summer.

The first Wonder Festival of 2019 is set to be held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan on the 10th February 2019. Good Smile Company and Max Factory will be attending the event as a joint booth called the ‘WONDERFUL HOBBY LIFE FOR YOU!!

There will be a number of announcements of new figures and all the latest figures will be on display, not to mention there will be a stage filled with interesting interviews and performances for fans to enjoy, as well as the usual live broadcast. The broadcast will not only follow most of the performances on stage, but also introduce parts of the booth and be sure to show everyone around the world what is going on at the event.

They will also have various attractions for fans to enjoy around the booth.

As always there will also be a number of exclusive products that fans can get their hands on at the event.

NIS America regretfully informed us here at StG that GOD WARS Future Past for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita will be pushed back to June 20th, 2017 in North America and June 16th 2017 in Europe to accommodate additional development and in-game balancing. The game was previously slated for March 28th (NA) and March 31st (EU).

NIS America has stated “while we understand delays aren’t the most pleasing announcements to make, we want to ensure our players have the best experience possible while playing GOD WARS Future Past and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding”.

GOD WARS Future Past is a tactical RPG that explores the untold history of Japan through folklore and tactical combat. Gamers will experience the traditional stories of Japan’s origin through the lens of three warring nations, with a massive expanse of tactical options to develop their strategies from including a myriad of character classes and equipment within innovative and challenging stages.

With an engaging narrative set a long time ago, where there was a beautiful land made up of three nations: Fuji, Izumo, and Hyuga. This land was called Mizuho. The people of Mizuho disliked conflict, honored their ancestral spirits, and lived in harmony with nature. However, over time, they began cultivating crops, forging and using metal, fighting wars, destroying nature, and neglecting to honor their ancestral spirits.

In the meantime, various locations in Mizuho suffered from natural disasters like flooding, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions. In order to stop a destructive eruption, the Queen of Mizuho, Tsukuyomi, sacrificed her beloved daughter Sakuya to the mountain, confined her other daughter Kaguya within a bamboo seal in case of future disasters, and then disappeared. 13 years later, Princess Kaguya has grown into a beautiful woman and her childhood friend, Kintaro, saves her during a riot. She rises against her “fate to be a sacrifice,” and in order to follow her own path, they both escape from Fuji and journey across Mizuho to discover the truth behind Tsukuyomi’s decision.
