With the weather finally getting warmer down under it will be time to start planning those summer parties.

Soundboks Bluetooth speakers aren’t your average wireless audio on the go.

They are big, as in, a full sized unit compromising of two 10 inch subwoofers mixed with a 1 inch tweeter.

Each Soundboks Gen 4 is pumped and good to go from the start.

Pairing up your smartphone or tablet is easy as.

Once you’re connected via Bluetooth you’re about ready to start the party.

If you want full functionality you’ll need the free Soundboks app. Fine tune your audio settings and if you have more than one Soundboks Bluetooth speaker, it’s a one touch pair up to sync them.

There’s also an AUX port, so plug in a mic and wow your guests with your, umm, vocal talents.

As for portability, you can expect around 40 hours of life from the battery, providing you don’t crank it at full volume. And given how extreme the volume is on these I doubt you’d ever have the speaker at full tilt.

However, the Soundboks speakers are heavy at just over 15kgs (33 pounds), so the Soundboks is something that you’d place out in a primary position for the evening and not walk about with.

If the weather packs it in and it rains on your party, you’ll be fine. Soundboks Gen 4 speakers are built tough, like real tough and can handle a splash here and there.

Overall, the Soundboks Gen 4 speaker, much like it’s predecessor is serious business. Generally just having one of these bad boys is enough to fulfil any event, and if you’re looking for one of these to use indoors at home, just make sure anything loose is secured down before you start the party.
