Crocodylus reveal the energy fuelled video for new single ‘Adrenaline’ alongside details of their forthcoming EP ‘Enjoy’ out September 27th, 2019 via The Chat’s label Bargain Bin Records. The trio will then take their dynamic live show on a nine-date tour across Australia to showcase the release.

After befriending mullet-bearers The Chats on their national ‘Pub Feed’ tour in June the viral punks have chosen to release ‘Enjoy’ via their own label Bargain Bin Records cementing their reciprocal admiration. The Chat’s lead singer Eamon Sandwith said of the collaboration “We’re very proud to be releasing our good mates Crocodylus‘ EP on Bargain Bin this year. These guys did a few shows with us this year across Australia and they quickly became one of our favourite Aussie bands.”

The seven-tracker will also be released on vinyl and feature singles ‘Ghosts’ and ‘Adrenaline’ plus countless tempo changes, grunge-tinged riffs and driving beats, ‘Enjoy’s unifying theme is right there in the title: “it’s something for the fans, from us, the Crocs.”Bassist and vocalist Josh continues “After touring with The Chats earlier this year we are so stoked they decided to chuck us on their label Bargain Bin. The EP has been a long process and we can’t wait to release new music.”

Notorious for their lively stage show Crocodylus aren’t ones to take time off the road and will be impressing their captivated fans once again on the ‘Enjoy’ Tour this October. From Brisbane to Hobart they’ll be joined by post-punk outfit Israeli Chicks and steeze-filled grunge-punkers Pistol Peaches.

Teasing that epic live show in today’s ‘Adrenaline’ clip, Crocodylus showcase what to expect on their upcoming tour atop a north Sydney expressway with a harbour sunset backdrop bringing their signature raucous energy to a blustery Sydney evening. Released under two weeks ago ‘Adrenaline’ has already caught the attention of General Pants and Wrangler and was added to rotation on FBi Radio.

Crocodylus returned in May with the dynamic ‘Ghosts’ which was premiered on triple j’s Home & Hosed and added to triple j unearthed and EDGE Radio. The part vintage horror, part arthouse cinema film clip produced by regular collaborator Jamieson Kerr was lauded by The Music and added to Rage.

They spent June traipsing the country with The Chats, playing their show-stopping set to sold out crowds every night and adding to their legions of fans. Their unpredictable live show has been honed on stages around the country, supporting the likes of Ocean Alley, Dune Rats, Hockey Dad and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets alongside a tri-headline tour with A. Swayze and the Ghosts and VOIID to kick off 2019. Crocodylus have also just been announced on Yours & Owls Festival alongside Courtney Barnett and Bad // Dreems this October.

Last year saw the most acclaimed releases from the well-toured trio, even while only delivering two singles. The former, ‘My Love’ is a slice of vintage surf-rock indicative of the band’s live shows and was well-supported with sold-out launch gigs at The Lansdowne in Sydney, and The Tote in Melbourne and came in at #14 on Happy Mag’s Top 100 Songs of 2018. The latter, ‘My Baby’, is a 60’s-style crooner and came out alongside a choreographed music video premiered by Triple J Unearthed and heralded by Life Without Andy as the #1 Indie Music Video of that year.

Crocodylus return in a cloud of sweat and fury unleashing their new single ‘Ghosts’ before setting off around the country once again, this time in support of The Chats.

Grungy as hell, ‘Ghosts’ is everything fans have come to love about the well-toured trio – fuzzy guitars, hazy vocals, searing riffs, stomping rhythms and time changes. Premiered on triple j’s Home and Hosed ‘Ghosts’ lulls listeners into a ballad before quickly picking up speed into the raw and blistering chorus. One hundred percent energy, it sits neatly in their sweaty live show.

Singer and bassist Josh explains the development of the song “One of the first songs I ever wrote – I was listening to Ty Segall at the time – its gone through a lot of changes and we’ve fleshed it out over five years. I feel like this is a new sound and direction for us and hope people like it as much as we do.”

Coming off the back of a tri-headline tour with A. Swayze and the Ghosts and VOIID, the band have amassed a cult following on the live circuit supporting the likes of Ocean Alley, Dune Rats, Hockey Dad and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets alongside show-stopping sets at NYE on the Hill and Bad Friday.

With only days to go till Bad Friday’s 10th Anniversary, the festival finally reveals set times so punters can plan their unforgettable day at Railway Parade.

Headlining the festivities on the Bad Friday stage will be local heavy weights DMA’S – who recently received three entries in triple’s Hottest 100 – and plunderphonic legends The Avalanches performing in DJ mode. The UK’s disco-soul juggernauts Jungle will take out the title of the festival’s first international act. Brisbane’s party rock legends DZ Deathrays will play alongside guitar toting siblings Lime Cordiale, both of whom are fresh from placing in the recent Hottest 100. Also celebrating ten years in the game The Jezabels will play alongside new project Shogun and the Sheets from the infamous Royal Headache crew, and teeth bared and no fucks given Tropical Fuck Storm are ready to barrage punters with the anarchy of their debut album.

Populating the Carla Flanagan stage will be mainly locals only, from psych-pop lords World Champion to rapidly rising glam punks Johnny Hunter. Melbourne lo-fi impressers RVG will offer a heavy dose of confessional retro-pop, and serving up the sweatiest set of the day garage lords Crocodylus. Bad Friday will also feature sets from up and coming favourites Georgia June, pop enigma Holiday Sidewinder, grungey punks100, riot grrl’s The Buoys, indie rockers Planet, Newtown’s self-confessed shittest band Scabz, and dream-pop trio Baby Beef.

Unconventional pop leaders Haiku Hands will take to the third stage, the newly minted, boiler-room style dance tent alongside leading purveyor of the electronic scene Nina Las Vegas, and one half of iconic Australian music duo The Presets, K.I.M (Kim Moyes). Further inclusions include party perfecters Human Movement who’ve supported Deadmau5 and performed in Ibiza and Croatia, local maestro Dro Carey who will navigate a sonic journey through a set of house, grime, garage and bass, Melbourne producer and genre-bender Christopher Port who was named in Purple Sneakers ‘Artists to Watch in 2018’, and up and coming rap prodigy Yibby. Or get yourself moving to DJ sets from local advocate Luen, party favourites Fox Force II and Absolutely Everybody & Friends.

Unparalleled for championing home-grown talent, these new additions bump the festival’s overall bill to 80% hailing from Sydney; a testament to our great city when it needs it most. The festival once again encourages attendees to donate to two local charities when picking up their tickets: Youth Off The Streets and the Aboriginal Women and Children’s Crisis Service (formerly Marrickville Women’s Refuge).

Already on their final ticket release, this year’s Bad Friday will surely be a sell out after the pre-sale and first release were exhausted in a combined seven minutes.
