Following the release of their glittering single “Out Of Time”, Kazakhstan based group L’Duo are back with
their buoyant new track “California”.

The group’s musical journey has taken them across the world. From singing in competitions all across Europe
and Asia to recording in world-famous studios such as Abbey Road and Metropolis, the duo have taken the
time to perfect their craft.

Teaming up again with Dana K, the track is filled with pounding pop rhythms and glittering coils of electronica –
“a perfect song for a road-trip. ‘California’ has a very warm feel, whenever the song is playing it brings back so
many heart-warming memories to us and we want our listeners to share this experience”, the pair explain. Made up of Laura and Lucy, L’Duo have been singing together ever since they were teenagers.

Originally called ‘Duet L’, their breakthrough happened when the pair took part in a famous singing contest in Moscow, subsequently winning every day of the competition. Soon after their songs were featured across multiple radio stations, earning them various awards and nominations for their luscious musical landscapes.

Moving to Russia for a couple of years, L’Duo have since been focusing on writing and recording with a number of renowned producers – finding the time to experiment with new musical stylings. As well as releasing music, Laura and Lucy have recently launched their new project Super Woman Stories (@superwomanstories), sharing the amazing stories of powerful women from across the globe.

With the promise of more music to follow, “California” is further indication of the pair’s adroit musical talent.

Mad Event Management who are experienced hosts of diverse and inclusive pop culture conventions has announced the 10th edition of its annual comics-first show; Long Beach Comic Con and has unveiled the industry leading special guests attending this milestone event. Long Beach Comic Con 2018 will connect fans and their favorite creators in the beautiful Greater Los Angeles area, and is scheduled to rock the Long Beach Convention Center, located in Long Beach, California from September 8th to 9th, 2018!

“When I launched Long Beach Comic Con back in 2009, my hope was simply to create a meaningful and enjoyable event for fans of all ages, and give something back to the comic community that supported me for many years,” said Martha Donato, President of MAD Event Management. “To be sitting here today, planning for our 10th edition, and reflecting on all we’ve accomplished in those years, is both humbling and energizing.”

In its tenth iteration, Long Beach Comic Con reaffirms its commitment to the medium, remaining true to its origins and celebrating the creative talents behind some of the industry’s most iconic comic books, as well as popular television shows and film, including properties Black Panther, Battlestar Galactica, Power Rangers, Twin Peaks, X-Men and so much more!

Serving as the show’s 2018 Guest of Honor, Eisner Award-nominated comic book writer and novelist Christopher Priest (Black Panther, Static Shock) makes his Long Beach Comic Con debut this year. To further this year’s renewed comics-first approach, LBCC will feature a significant increase in participating comic book publishers, including long-time supporters Aspen Comics, Prism Comics and Top Cow, while welcoming newcomers AfterShock, whose new series BEYONDERS will be celebrated at the show with an exclusive LBCC edition of issue #1 with a cover by interior artist Wesley St. Claire (who will be attending the show as a special guest), Charon Comics, Los Comex and Valiant Comics (in partnership with Los Angeles-area retailer The Comic Bug).

Long Beach Comic Con’s guest slate kicks off with acclaimed cartoonist Jaime Hernandez, legendary writer Marv Wolfman, Dean Haspiel and Jonathan Ames (co-creators of the landmark graphic novel The Alcoholic), DC Super Hero Girls artist Yancey Labat, Border Town co-creator Eric M. Esquivel, Deadpool artist Scott Koblish, The Magic Glasses co-creator Melina Chavarria, My Little Pony artist Tony Fleecs, comics / animation writer Mairghread Scott (Guardians of the Galaxy) and many others. An invited group of players will gather to play Super Smash Bros., and qualified teams will compete on Splatoon 2 from the 11th to the 12th of June 2018 in Los Angeles to deliver some high-level gameplay as Nintendo hosts an event featuring these two games for Nintendo Switch.

The gathering will be a celebration of fun for all ages and will highlight Nintendo’s unique approach to competitive play. The event will be just one of Nintendo’s activities during E3, which runs from the 12th to the 14th of June 2018 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Additional details about Nintendo’s E3 plans will be announced at a later time.

The event will showcase players from around the globe in the Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 tournament for the newly announced Super Smash Bros. game coming to Nintendo Switch this year. It will also include the winning teams from their respective tournaments from across the world as they battle to become victorious at the Splatoon 2 World Championship. The competitions will be live-streamed to audiences on Nintendo’s YouTube and Twitch channels.

The 2018 AUNZ Splatoon 2 Cup will decide which team from Australia and New Zealand will have the opportunity to compete at the Splatoon 2 World Championship.

The tournament kicks off with online qualifiers on the 31st of March and the 7th of April 2018, where the teams will battle it out for a coveted spot in the final two and official 2018 AUNZ Splatoon 2 Cup t-shirts with their player and team names. Then, on the 21st of April 2018, the top two teams will be flown to Melbourne to compete in the grand final at Supanova Melbourne, with members of the winning team walking away with the title of Australian and New Zealand Splatoon 2 champions.

Prior to the Splatoon 2 World Championship, Nintendo will host the Splatoon 2 Inkling Open 2018 online qualifiers in the US / Canada hosted by Battlefy, and the Splatoon European Championship at Polymanga in Switzerland. The winning team will qualify for a chance to win a spot at the Splatoon 2 World Championship, and those in Japan (Splatoon Koshien 2018) should watch for local information.
