Bilibili Gaming are going all in for 2026, bringing back star jungler Xun and signing Worlds champion Viper in a major roster shake-up aimed at reclaiming both LPL dominance and international success.

BLG Reload for 2026 After a Disappointing Worlds Run

BiliBili Gaming have confirmed two of the biggest moves of the LPL offseason, reuniting with Peng Xun Li-xun in the jungle and securing Korean AD carry Park Viper Do-hyeon for the new season.

【BLG Personnel Change Announcement】

We are delighted to announce that Xun has officially joined BLG.

We look forward to rebuilding our synergy and writing a new chapter together over the next two years.

Welcome back, BLG.Xun! pic.twitter.com/Qf5Lm3utbn

— Bilibili Gaming (@BilibiliGaming) December 1, 2025

[Official] Viper joins BLG
2026 BLG Bin Xun knight Viper ON
What a BEAST! pic.twitter.com/bufHzb2Moh

— LPL Fanclub (@LPLfanclub) December 1, 2025

The changes come after a strange 2025 run for BLG. The team won the LPL’s third split and entered Worlds 2025 as China’s first seed, only to crash out early in the Swiss Stage. It was one of the most surprising downfalls of the year and, clearly, a turning point for the organisation.

For 2026, BLG are resetting the blueprint, rebuilding around stability in top, mid, and support, and adding two proven heavy hitters.

Xun Returns Home After a Rocky Year at JDG

Xun is coming back to BLG after a short stint with JD Gaming in 2025. While JDG struggled to find form and ultimately missed Worlds qualification, Xun remained one of their brightest performers, showing the proactive, tempo-focused style that made him one of the best junglers in China.

His read of the map and knack for building leads from tiny openings have always been his signature strengths. At BLG, he reunites with teammates who know how to play around his pacing, and the team are confident he can bring back the consistency they lacked last year.

BLG previously picked up former LEC jungler Shad0w as well, and although rumours suggest some possible rotation in the role, Xun has been confirmed as the starting jungler heading into the 2026 season.

Viper Joins BLG in One of the Biggest Offseason Signings

The other headline move is Viper, who leaves Hanwha Life Esports after three years and returns to the LPL in search of another world title. With Gumayusi signing for HLE and top LCK teams already locked in, the Korean superstar had limited options in his home region, making BLG the most enticing destination.

Viper replaces Zhao Elk Jia-Hao, who is expected to join Weibo Gaming. On paper, it is a long-term upgrade. Viper brings a huge champion pool, safe but deadly late-game play, and a proven ability to carry on the international stage. His partnership with ON will be the key factor, with the duo expected to become a major threat in both lane and teamfights.

A Proven Champion Chasing Glory Again

Viper has one of the most impressive career arcs in modern League of Legends. After debuting with Griffin and shaking up the LCK in 2018, he moved to EDward Gaming and delivered a legendary 2021 season, claiming MVP awards, the LPL title, and the Worlds trophy.

His return to Korea in 2022 led to several strong results with HLE, including the 2024 LCK Summer title, the 2025 LCK Cup, and consecutive Worlds quarterfinals. But despite consistent top finishes, international success has been out of reach in recent years.

With BLG, Viper wants a repeat of 2021. His agency Shadow Corporation said he accepted lower conditions than past years because he genuinely wanted to challenge himself again and grow as a player.

BLG’s Full 2026 Roster Looks Stacked

Alongside Xun and Viper, BLG have confirmed long-term contract extensions for both mid laner Knight and support ON through 2027. Star top laner Bin is also expected to remain with the team.

The 2026 lineup is shaping up as:

Top: Bin

Jungle: Xun

Mid: Knight

ADC: Viper

Support: ON

It is one of the most balanced rosters in the LPL and a clear signal that BLG are done experimenting with fully domestic lineups. The organisation came close to lifting the Summoner’s Cup at the end of 2024, but since then, Chinese teams have struggled to keep up with their LCK rivals. Bringing in an international superstar like Viper shows BLG are done playing it safe.

Can This Lineup Bring BLG Back to the Top?

BLG’s early exit at Worlds 2025 was a shock, but the team’s response has been bold. With Knight and Bin as lane powerhouses, ON as their glue in support, Xun driving early-game proactivity, and Viper anchoring late-game fights, BLG have the pieces to compete for both the LPL title and a deep international run.

Now all eyes are on synergy. If the team gels the way it did in its peak years, BLG could easily return to being one of China’s strongest contenders for Worlds 2026.

A clash worthy of the finals

With both sides already carrying high stakes, the series opened with TES striking first. They capitalised on Elk’s early mistakes, building momentum around the Ocean Soul to take game one. BLG, however, responded by subbing in Zhao “Shad0w” Zhi-Qiang in the jungle. The move instantly paid off. Supported by Bin’s incredible 1v2 play in the top lane, BLG stormed back to level the series with a dominant 27-minute win.

Give BIN the MVP already 😎 pic.twitter.com/oiQptq5ups

Game three saw TES lean on their strong top-side draft of Renekton and Zed. They combined this with Cassiopeia and Corki to secure match point after a Baron-powered push down mid. Facing elimination, BLG went all-in on an aggressive Caitlyn-Elise bot lane in game four. Their gamble paid off, dismantling TES with a brutal 32–7 scoreline against JackeyLove’s Draven, forcing the series to Silver Scrapes.

In the decider, BLG pulled ahead during a chaotic eight-man skirmish in mid. Despite TES fighting tooth and nail to stay even, Knight’s Akali flank tore through TES’ carries. With superior teamfighting and a 5k gold lead, BLG closed it out to claim their first championship of the year.

BLG’s comeback story

This title marks a dramatic turnaround for BLG, who had struggled at both the Mid-Season Invitational and the Esports World Cup earlier in the year. The arrival of Shad0w has been key, with BLG frequently rotating between him and Beichuan depending on the draft. That flexibility has turned the team from shaky to championship-ready in just one split.

While doubts remain over the LPL’s strength compared to other regions heading into Worlds, BLG’s resurgence suggests they could repeat their deep run from 2024.

Worlds seeding locked in

With BLG securing the LPL’s #1 seed, Anyone’s Legend (AL) are locked in as the second seed thanks to their accumulated championship points. AL have had a tougher split, but their direct path into the Worlds Swiss Stage is a much-needed relief.

For TES, the road gets harder. They now head into the LPL Regional Finals alongside Invictus Gaming, JD Gaming, and Weibo Gaming. Only the winner is guaranteed a spot at Worlds, while the runner-up must battle reigning world champions T1 in the play-in stage, a nightmare scenario for any team desperate to qualify.
