The world of Elden Ring is getting a standalone multiplayer co-op action survival game that challenges players to band together in order to defeat the Nightlord.

Developed by FromSoftware, Inc. and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc., the upcoming game, Elden Ring NightReign will thrust players into co-op multiplayer PVE combat against a harsh and unforgiving world. Teaming up in squads of three – or daring to go solo – they must outlast a three day-and-night cycle, making split decisions about combat and exploration across changing maps to become strong enough to take down terrifying bosses at the end of each day.

Players take on the night together in an all-new experience from the team at FromSoftware. Elden Ring NightReign will be a multiplayer-focused return to Roundtable Hold, set in a universe parallel to the events of Elden Ring. Players must choose from eight unique characters, each with their own unique abilities and powerful Ultimates.

Their journeys take them to Limveld, where they will have to make split-second decisions when it comes to combat and exploration in the face of a night cycle that shrinks the map with the coming Night’s Tide. At the end of each night, players will face a powerful boss and, if victorious, awaken to bigger challenges. Each session will culminate in the third night when they must face off against the chosen Nightlord. Individuals can fight the night alone, but strength will come in numbers.

Nightfarers must learn to cooperate to take down these challenges, combining their unique abilities together for an unparalleled experience in the ELDEN RING universe. All is not lost for those who fall in defeat. Unsuccessful runs will grant players relics to allow them to customize and upgrade their characters tailored to their personal play styles.

Elden Ring NightReign is unlike any experience created before by FromSoftware.

In this condensed action RPG, players will never experience the same journey twice as enemies, rewards and Limveld itself are ever-shifting and evolving each session in the realm of the Nightlord, Defeating greater enemies and venturing into the more dangerous parts of the map will uncover more powerful weapons and greater Rune rewards.

Find Sites of Grace to give each hero a chance to level up and gain crucial power. With each session-based adventure being akin to playing through an open-air dungeon, every journey provides an opportunity to grow lasting stat bonuses. Successful runs against the night bring players ever closer to defeating the realm of the Nightlord and unraveling the story behind each Hero in this parallel world.

Team17 Digital and Digital Eclipse, have launched Worms Armageddon – Anniversary Edition to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the classic weaponised wrigglers (how has it been that long since Y2K fever).

Captain Blood, the pirate-themed action game last showcased in 2010, will launch in 2024.

SNEG Ltd, a publishing studio that aims to preserve forgotten titles, reveals today that Captain Blood will be released on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch later this year.

Loosely based on the adventure novels written by author Rafael Sabatini, Captain Blood is a pirate-themed action game set in the golden age of piracy during the 17th century, where you step into the boots of the most feared pirate captain to ever sail across the seven seas on his quest for gold and glory.

Undergoing several iterations throughout its development in the 2000s, Captain Blood was last showcased in 2010 before vanishing for years due to publishing disputes. Now, SNEG Ltd. is excited to bring the game back for fans of classic pirate adventure, combining its original glory with modern improvements for today’s gamers and consoles.

You play as Captain Blood, the manliest pirate captain ever to drink grog while romancing maidens across the Spanish main. When the local magistrate’s beautiful buxom daughter is kidnapped, he swallows his pride and hires you and your crew to rescue her.

Expect wild adventures with cannon firing, pistol shooting, swashbuckling sword fights, and plenty of pirate shenanigans. This action-packed hack’n’slash features fierce hand-to-hand combat, hordes of enemies, and a classic fighting system with flashy combos and epic finishers.

The game will launch simultaneously on all platforms later this year.

2K has just announced WWE 2K24, the newest instalment of the flagship WWE video game franchise developed by Visual Concepts.

As he burns a path through WWE in an effort to claim world championship gold and fulfil his destiny, “The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes will be featured on the Standard Edition cover. KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Team NINJA has just released the third and final DLC for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

This adds new stages, a new Divine Beast, a new weapon category and more.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty’s haunting storyline continues with the release of DLC Vol.3, “Upheaval in Jingxiang”, as Yuan Shu, fuelled by his hatred of humans, secretly plans to build a world of demons. New stages include an abandoned waterside village, a castle, and an abandoned mine where kidnapped victims are now transformed into demons. A new tree-like monster, Shuyao, will give players a tough time as they have to watch out for the poisonous spores it sprays onto the battlefield from its long tree-branch-like limbs.

To help in the fight is the new weapon category, the Whip, along with a new Divine Beast, Chenghuang. This Divine Beast is reminiscent of a white fox with horse-like legs and two appendages resembling dragon horns jutting out from its spine. Players will be able to ride Chenghuang into battle, attacking enemies while galloping around them. This is the first time in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty that a human character and a Divine Beast are united in action, allowing the player to experience an unprecedented feeling of fighting together with the Divine Beast.

Other enhancements in DLC Vol. 3 include a new difficulty level, a new stratagem system, and an expansion to the end-game content Thousand Mile Journey that allows players to advance further than levels 100-1000. The expansion also adds to the benefits and rewards, like Legendary Armor, that can be obtained.

Additionally, a free update was recently made available that includes a collaboration with Team NINJA’s popular Soulslike game, Nioh 2. The free update features a battle mission against Nioh 2 boss and deadly demon Mezuki. Players who clear the stage will be able to obtain the “Scampuss Hat” as a special reward.

The dark fantasy action RPG is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.

While diving into the new insane gameplay, players will be tasked with helping P-3 break through a series of dizzying obstacles, uncover the secrets of his past and the world of Limbo, and demolish uniquely looking opponents with marvellously looking weapons in a combat extravaganza. In order to rise from the depths of Limbo to the top and free P-3’s mind from his demons, players will have to do everything they can to curb the changed rules of the game. Square Enix and Xbox announced that Octopath Traveler II, the latest entry in the RPG series will be launching on Xbox and Windows PC early next year.

Developed by the same team behind the beloved original, which spawned a series that has sold over four million copies combined worldwide, Octopath Traveler II improves upon the series’ iconic HD-2D visuals: a striking blend of retro 2D characters in a beautiful 3D world.

The game’s new storyline, characters and features make it the perfect entry for newcomers to the series, while also preserving the charm of the original game for veteran players.
